Ideas to Help You With Bettering Your English Speaking/Listening Skills
There are many things you can do to better understand and speak the English Language. Here are just a couple things that will help you. All of these ideas need to be done regularly for them to make a difference.
1. Reading books, magizines, or newspapers in English.
2. Watching movies or television shows in English.
3. Go to www.eslpod.com to listen to short conversations in English. This will also help with your comprehension because the pod casts often have some questions you can answer.

1. Due 8/28/09 - Your cave drawing are due on Friday. You will be sharing them with the class. Remember that they need to be colored! THERE ARE MANY OF YOU WHO DID NOT HAND THIS IN! I would get it to me as soon as possible because it is worth 20 points and will hurt your grade if I do not get it.

1. There will be NO spelling test for this week (September 7-11)
2. 9/11/09 ~ On Friday your Reading Log is due. Remember that on Tuesday and Thursday nights, you need to read for 15 minutes from a book that is in English. Fill out the summary of what you read and have your parents sign it. Many of you did not hand this in last week and lost 10 points. You can still make some of that up if you hand in the days you missed!
